What if you got murdered by a serial killer disguised with a mask but instead of it being lights you were simply sent right back to when you woke up that day, giving you the opportunity to do it over like a very fucked up Groundhog Day? That’s the mystery Happy Death Day begs.

This new offering from Blumhouse Productions – known for Insidious, The Purge, Paranormal Activity and most newly Get Out – features a very blatant yet never done movie where someone gets to relive their last day on earth over and over.

Blumhouse has now issued the first full-length trailer.

The official summary for Happy Death Day is as below:

“Blumhouse (Split, Get Out, Whiplash) produces an original and inventive rewinding thriller in HAPPY DEATH DAY, in which a college student (Jessica Rothe, La La Land) relives the day of her murder with both its unexceptional details and terrifying end until she discovers her killer’s identity.”

This movie is set to premier Friday 13, October 2017.
